In homeroom we will be working on Writing/ELA, Grammar, Acclerated Math, Acclerated Reading.
Every Monday and Wednesday your child will have homework for AM for 30 minutes. When they have finished their 30 minutes it would be very helpful if you would sign their HW log stating they completed it. Your student will then bring it back the next day and share it with me. If they do not get it signed they will have to walk a lap at recess.
Every Tuesday and Thursday your child will be responsible for reading 30 minutes as well. We have a small chunk of time during our school week where the kids will be able to read in class for AR, but it is not enough. A signature on their planner will indicate that they read for 30 minutes that night.
We will be using our planner every day this year and it is a great communication tool! It is helpful to know what your child did in school that day and if they have homework as well. Your child needs to have it signed every day. I will check them daily and at the end of every week I will pay them with our Blue Creek Bucks for getting every day signed. It is a job for them so why not get paid for it!!
